On Ego Death, the third album from the Internet, the R&B act reached new heights. In many ways, it felt like the first album for the Odd Future affiliates, the first real show of their abilities as a collective. Its neo-soul sound—and lead singer Syd Tha Kid's presence as a frontwoman—radiated confidence.
