Montreal’s Festival Metro Metro has announced its 2023 lineup featuring Lil Wayne,Jack Harlow, and Lil Baby as the headliners.

The festival will take place from May 19 to 21 at the Parc Olympique Esplanade.

Joining the headliners are a number of rappers, such as Cordae, Coi Leray, Lil TjayYeat, and The Kid Laroi among others, coming in from the U.S.

Metro Metro will also feature several Canadian artists such as Nav, Killy, Murda Beatz, Sarahmée, Mikezup, and more.

Though Canada is no stranger to festivals, there’s been an emergence of hip-hop-centric festivals since 2019 with Rolling Loud landing in Toronto and Surrey, British Columbia’s Fvded in the Park festival still going strong.

Several acts will appear at both Metro Metro and Fvded in the Park like Jack Harlow, Metro Boomin, Ski Mask the Slump God, and Bia.

Metro Metro succeeded in its first year back in 2019 but the pandemic shut down its second edition, which would have featured 50 Cent, Travis Scott, and Young Thug as its headliners. The festival noted several hurdles in 2022 when it was set to return for the first time since the pandemic struck.

Last year’s Metro Metro had a noteworthy moment when Drake made a surprise appearance during Lil Baby’s set.
