Diplo stopped by Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show for a much needed sit down to catch everyone up on the hundreds of things he has going on right now, including what, and who, we can expect on Major Lazer's fourth studio album. "Definitely we have Usher on it. ["Lean On" collaborator] MØ’s back on songs. We have a song with Sam Hunt which is very unusual, but I love him. Travi$ Scott. I don’t even know; I have to go back...Sia is on a couple ideas, but one of the records might be her record. She’s definitely background vocals on a song."

It's understandable Diplo can't even remember exactly who is on the album given how many different projects, and people, he works with at once. He goes on to tell Zane that part of the reason the has been partially put off because he keeps giving songs up to other artists like Beyoncé, who scooped songs up for LEMONADE, and The Weeknd.

Major Lazer still manages to deliver plenty of original bangers, including their latest release, "Cold Water." Previous collaborators Justin Bieber and MØ hopped on the track, along with other familiar members who helped behind the scenes.  "This record has a lot of moving parts," he told Zane. "Ed Sheeran helped write the record with us. Benny Blanco. They also had a big hit with Justin last year. It’s like a big family we all do it together. We’re all just people that worked together on the last year and then MØ came in because we love her so much. We just want to put her on as many records on the new Major Lazer album as possible."

According to Diplo, he wanted to release the song because he felt like the people need a summer hit. "Drake and Rihanna killed it this year but that record came out a while ago," he said. "There hasn’t really been a summer vibe. For me 'One Dance' has been the biggest record of the year...it’s the coolest pop record. I felt like, let’s come through and join the squad."

Even better, Gucci Mane is already lined up to deliver the official remix, which definitely has Bieber excited.

It's impossible to ignore Diplo's hand in music right now, and his latest news about the new Major Lazer album sounds like it will be another solid collection of hits. Listen to Diplo's full interview with Zane Lowe below.
