Music lovers in the city of Toronto should be marking their calendars for the 16th edition of the esteemed Manifesto Festival, featuring a lineup of talented artists.

Manifesto 2022 will be taking over the Budweiser Stage on August 12. The festival will welcome two of the hottest current names in the music industry as headliners: two-time Grammy-winning artist Jazmine Sullivan and the Billboard-charting Tems

Sullivan won Best R&B Performance at this year’s Grammys for her project Heaux Tales, while Tems’ recent collaboration with Future and Drake, “Wait for U,” reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart—making her the first African artist to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts.

To add to the excitement, this year’s festival will be co-hosted by local creator Tresor and 2022 Juno Award-winning artist Charmaine—including sets from Manifesto’s in-house DJ Killa Kels, and special performances from Canadian favourites and emerging artists like Amaal, Dylan Sinclair, Benita, Planet Giza, Zeina, DVBLM, Fame Holiday, Tia Bank$, Ray HMND, and Vividd.

“This summer is already turning out to be a legendary moment for the city, with all the festivals and curated activations that are coming to Toronto, and our city finally being viewed as a central destination for high-end live musical experiences,” said Marcus Adade, Manifesto’s Programming Director, in a statement.

“Manifesto Festival goes a bit further with the aim to create the most memorable moments and continue to add to the rich legacy of live concert experiences. In the planning stages, the community was the central plot in our mood-board and we confidently feel that this festival is the people’s choice award.”

Tickets for Manifesto can be found on their official website and will go on sale to the general public June 10 at 10 a.m. ET. Pre-sale tickets are limited to those who sign up on their website and will go on sale from June 7 to 9.
