Watch The Weeknd Get Into Brutal Fight With Older Version of Himself in New “Gasoline” Video

The ‘Dawn FM’ era is one for the ages and now includes another new video from Abel, again building on the aged-up aesthetic found on the cover art.

It’s “Gasoline” time.

Early Tuesday, The Weeknd—whose recently released album Dawn FM is indeed everything we hoped it would be—delivered another gripping new video. Catch it up top. And to revisit the video for fellow Dawn FM cut “Sacrifice,” head here.

The creepiness here, thankfully, is again on full display. The aspect we’ll all likely be hearing the most about, however, is the fact that the Matilda Finn-directed “Gasoline” video gives fans the chance to see (among many, many other other replayable things) Abel Tesfaye quite brutally fighting an aged-up version of himself.

The complete Dawn FM experience—which closes with a truly moving spoken word piece from Jim Carrey—features contributions from Tyler, the Creator, Lil Wayne, Quincy Jones, and more. On Monday, Abel suggested that even more new music could be on the horizon.

“I wonder…did you know you’re experiencing a new trilogy?” he asked fans on Twitter.

The Weeknd, of course, is no stranger to trilogies. As for where Dawn FM fits into this “new trilogy,” the leading assumption among fans is the new trio started with the 2020 blockbuster After Hours, which would make Dawn FM the middle entry.
