Premiere: Watch Landstrip Chip's New Video for "Even Count"

The Def Jam artist arrives with the video for "Even Count."

Rising artist Landstrip Chip is here with the video for his new single, "Even Count."

Though the Atlanta native's previous independent ventures have resulted in collaborations with some of the cities biggest names (Quavo and Southside, to name a few), he now has found a home at Def Jam. He recently participated in the label's rap camp, an experiment that placed its newest A&R's and signees in a studio, which resulted in the compilation album, Undisputed.

Speaking on "Even Count," Chip told Complex the song "was a vibe I caught out in L.A. during the first Def Jam rap camp. As soon as OG Parker played the beat, I knew it was a hit and I just had to hold up my end of it."

The song is also the product of his in-studio experience. "The hook really came from me being in the booth trying to count like $12,000 in 20’s. I kept losing count every time my engineer pressed play. The song is ultimately about overcoming people’s doubts for me, and becoming who I always knew I was," he said.
