The nominees for MTV’s Video Music Awards have been announced.

Kendrick Lamar, Jack Harlow, and Lil Nas X have the most nominations for the award show’s 2022 iteration, with all three of the artists receiving seven nominations. Doja Cat and Harry Styles both have six nominations while Billie Eilish, Drake, Dua Lipa, Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift, and The Weeknd got five nominations. 

Fans will be able to cast their votes in the categories of “Video of the Year,” “Artist of the Year,” “Best Collaboration,” “Best Longform Video,” and “Best Metaverse Performance” by heading to

The VMAs will take place next month on Sunday, August 28th at 8PMET/PT at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
