UPDATED 3/2, 3:42 p.m.: Cain Velasquez is now facing 10 charges, among them assault with a deadly weapon and first degree attempted murder. TMZ has new details, writing that Velasquez allegedly drove his Ford F-250 into a vehicle containing the man accused of molestation. The UFC fighter then reportedly fired a 40-caliber semi-automatic handgun at the vehicle, injuring a different man.

TMZ Sports viewed court documents saying Velasquez was following Harry Goularte—the 43-year-old who, it was previously noted, was recently charged with a felony count of a lewd and lascivious act with a child under the age of 14—when Goularte was with his mother and stepfather, who sustained the injury. After allegedly firing the shots, Velasquez is said to have left the scene. “Soon after, cops located Cain on the road, pulled him over, and took him into custody without issue,” the outlet writes. In addition to the gun, police reportedly discovered a pair of 10-bullet magazines in the Ford, with eight bullets missing.

TMZ adds that Goularte went before a judge last week for the felony charge and “somehow was allowed to leave jail on supervised release...despite the egregious allegations” he faces.

UPDATED 3/2, 11:26 a.m. ET: The man Cain Velasquez shot at allegedly molested one of his family members, TMZ reports.

Sources told TMZ that Cain’s young family member was molested at a daycare that was hosted in the man’s home. Prior to being shot, that man was charged with “one felony count of a lewd and lascivious act with a child under the age of 14,” per TMZ.

The man was eventually released, and was shot by Velasquez outside a school.
