Leonard Fournette Confirms He's OK After Car Caught Fire on Florida Highway

The former Buccaneer said he survived a terrifying driving incident and is "blessed."

Leonard Fournette is alive and well after a horrific highway incident.

On Tuesday the free agent and former Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back was traveling on I-275 when his Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat caught fire.

Per TMZ Sports, Florida Highway Patrol reported that the fire was not a result of a crash but a mechanical issue.

The NFL champ took to his Instagram to update his 1 million followers. "Man, it was one of those days today, but I would like to thank God," Fournette captioned the video of the unrecognizable truck. "My car caught on fire while I was driving, But I am still blessed."

Many fans and NFL players commented with uplifting messages under the snippet, sharing their relief that the football player is alive.

28-year-old teammate Breshad Perriman said, "Glad you good, my boy." Dolphins cornerback Jalen Ramsey and Meek Mill dropped some prayer hands emojis. Denver Broncos DE Frank Clark wrote, "Awww hell naw bro, I'm thankful! God talking."

G Herbo, meanwhile, wrote, "Mannn, that shit looks krazy twin."

About six weeks ago, Fournette showed off his new whip on his Instagram, showing himself smiling in the driver's seat.
