Aaron Gordon Would Love Dwyane Wade and Rick Ross to Team Up for "9 Out of 10" Response

Gordon also broke down the lyrics for “9 Out of 10" on the 'Load Management' podcast.

Less than 48 hours after dropping his diss track "9 Out of 10" aimed at Dwyane WadeAaron Gordon hopped on the Load Management podcast to discuss the story behind the song, in which he raps about about this year’s Slam Dunk contest snub.

Gordon reveals that the plan for "9 Out of 10" was really put in motion after Wade had to reschedule his appearance on his "Wine Down" Instagram Live series. "If I can’t come on a Live, at least I’m going to express myself to you," Gordon explained at the 3:10 mark in the episode.

According to the Magic star, the track took three to four days to write, record, and shoot the video for "9 Out of 10." He said he decided to sit on the song for a bit to avoid stealing any attention away from the ESPN docuseries The Last Dance

Gordon admits that the song is basically him "just venting" about what transpired during All-Star Weekend in February. As for Wade's response where he suggested that AG should trademark "9 Out of 10," he said that he’s going to pass.

When asked about the prospect of Wade reuniting with Rick Ross for a response track, Gordon said at the 15:18 mark, confidently, "He will...He's gonna have to get back in the booth." Gordon welcomes the challenge, saying, "That'll be good, man. It's all good, for the entertainment, it's all for the sport of it. You know what I mean, this is, like, attention that uplifts." And if Wade were to tap Ross to write his lyrics, Gordon simply replied, "I love it."

Regardless of how long their back-and-forth goes, Gordon knows that the ace up his sleeve is that he's "still on the court, and he's [Wade's] not," and since the future Hall of Famer now works as an analyst, he's just going to have watch him.
