UPDATED 06/26/19 11:15 a.m. ET: Donald Trump responded to Megan Rapinoe's statement that the US Women's Soccer team would not visit the White House if they won the World Cup.

Women’s soccer player, @mPinoe, just stated that she is “not going to the F...ing White House if we win.” Other than the NBA, which now refuses to call owners, owners (please explain that I just got Criminal Justice Reform passed, Black unemployment is at the lowest level...

....in our Country’s history, and the poverty index is also best number EVER), leagues and teams love coming to the White House. I am a big fan of the American Team, and Women’s Soccer, but Megan should WIN first before she TALKS! Finish the job! We haven’t yet....

....invited Megan or the team, but I am now inviting the TEAM, win or lose. Megan should never disrespect our Country, the White House, or our Flag, especially since so much has been done for her & the team. Be proud of the Flag that you wear. The USA is doing GREAT!

It's probably safe for Donald Trump to assume that any athlete this side of Ted Nugent's flag football league is going to turn down a White House invite at this point. US Women's Soccer star Megan Rapinoe was incredibly blunt when a reporter asked if she would head to DC on an invitation from Donald Trump.

"I'm not going to the fucking White House," Rapinoe said.

"We're not going to be invited," said the co-captain of the dominant World Cup favorites. "[Trump] tries to avoid inviting a team that might decline. Or, like he did when the Warriors turned him down, he’ll claim they hadn’t been invited in the first place."

She's the second athlete this week to point out that they probably wouldn't visit the White House after a championship. Toronto Raptors' Danny Green previously said that he doesn't believe the top team in the NBA will go to Trump's White House.

"I  just don't think that we accept," he said. "I try to respect everybody in every field that they do regardless of how crazy the things are but [Trump] makes it really hard. He makes it very, very tough to respect how he goes about things and does things...To put it politely, I think it's a hard no."
