Iman Shumpert Addresses Rumors About Drake's Baby Mama Drama

Shumpert denied rumors that he cheated on his wife and singer Teyana Taylor with Drake's alleged baby mama Sophie Brussaux. “I get clicks, that means I'm a sex symbol," he said.

Drake and Pusha-T’s beef has resulted in some collateral damage. Those swept up in the drama between the two rappers include Noah “40” Shebib, Drake’s mother, father, Wendy Williams, Push’s fiancée, Kanye, and more. Residual gossip even dragged in ex-Cav Iman Shumpert, whose previous relationship with Drake’s alleged baby mama Sophie Brussaux had some claiming he cheated on Teyana Taylor with the former adult film star a year ago.

Iman quickly went on Instagram to clear up the rumors. "Dont believe this trash," he wrote on his Instagram story. "All of me and her interactions were prior to me knowing my wife...let alone actually getting the chance at dating my wife. But now yall are just trying to make something happen...you guys are reaching because there's nothing to talk about. Get a life."

In an interview on Angela Yee’s show Lip Service, the NBA star responded further to the claims. "They always do that to me dog, that's cool,” he said. “I get clicks, that means I'm a sex symbol."

Shumpert explained how Taylor had him turn in a list of former partners, so news that he'd been involved with Brussaux was no surprise to the singer. "Before any of this, I been had to give Teyana this list," he said.

Rumors that Shumpert cheated on Taylor have circulated in the past, but this is the first time he responded so publicly. The Sacramento Kings player told Charlamagne on The Breakfast Club that he typically tries to stay above the rumors by not giving them any attention, but felt this one was so ridiculous he had to respond.

ASAP Rocky and James Harden have also been rumored to have prior relationships with Brussaux, according to Vibe. Neither have come forward to confirm or deny the claims. ASAP did, however, deny he was the one who told Pusha about Drake’s alleged child.
