The 1993 cult classic Hocus Pocusis getting a sequel, complete with the return of its three stars.

Tuesday, Disney+ shared a teaser trailer for the upcoming Hocus Pocus 2, directed by Anne Fletcher (Dumplin’, This Is Us) and written by Jen D’Angelo (Workaholics, Young Rock). Fans can expect to see Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy back as the mischievous Sanderson sisters.

The sequel was formally announced last May, with Fletcher saying in a statement she was “so grateful” to have been enlisted with the unique opportunity of bringing such “delicious characters” back for another round of well-timed Halloween mayhem.

“This is a movie for everyone, from the fans who grew up with the first film to the next generation of viewers, and I can’t wait to get started,” she said at the time, noting there is indeed “so much fun to be had with these three unbelievable women.”

Production later kicked off in the Rhode Island area in November.

The sequel picks up 29 years after the resurrection-spurring lighting of the Black Flame Candle. This time around, three high school students are tasked with going up against the Sanderson sisters to stop them from pulling off their plans for imminent chaos.

Hocus Pocus 2 debuts Sept. 30 on Disney+. The cast also features Whitney Peak, Lilia Buckingham, Doug Jones, Belisa Escobedo, Hannah Waddingham, Tony Hale, Sam Richardson, and more. See the newly released teaser trailer above.
