Pusha-T has addressed a recent leak featuring what was widely interpreted as a diss against the It’s Almost Dry artist from Drake.

During a 43-minute interview with the Breakfast Club on Friday, King Push was asked about the surfacing of the unreleased track, which saw Drake linking up with Jack Harlow.

“Man, you know what? I think, like, I even heard that. And it sounds old to me,” Push said just past the 14-minute mark in the video above. “Like, the flows sound old. And then it’s like, even what is the considered, like, the shots. … It’s like, bro, after what I’ve done. Like ‘the middleman’ talk and all that type of talk. That’s not scathing for me. I’m here to, like, burn down everything.”

Elaborating further on the contents of the leak, Push compared it to his own process. “I’m not subliminal with nobody today. Like, I’m not doing that,” he said, followed by a reiteration of his assessment of the track.

“From the sound of it, it just sounded old to me. It’s not, like, fresh,” Push said Friday. See more up top.

The leak in question is known under the tentative title “Have a Turn” and sees Drake reflecting on “gettin’ older” before delivering some lines many listeners have linked to his and Push’s prior (and well-documented) issues. Deeper into his verse, Drake delivers the “middleman” line specifically cited in Friday’s Breakfast Club interview:

Earlier into the new chat, Push was asked how Ye and Drake setting aside their issues affected him.

“Oh man, I’m still outside,” Push said around the 12:26 mark. “For me, I think that was really good for them. … There’s something weird with them two that, like, the coexisting of both of them together is just really…it’s something they just have to have. Me personally, you know, I don’t really stand anything to gain from squashing anything.”

The thrilling 12-song experience of It’s Almost Dry begins with the reflective “Brambleton” and works its way through one immediately replayable song after another before landing at the Ye and Labrinth-assisted closer “I Pray for You” featuring Malice. Listen here.
