With music festivals in Toronto set to come back at full force this summer, including the Canadian introduction of Rolling Loud, hip-hop fans across the city will be glad to know OVO Fest is finally coming back this year.
When Dave performed at Drake-owned venue History on Thursday, many speculated that Drizzy himself might make a surprise appearance at the show. Not only did he join the British rapper onstage to perform “Knife Talk,” he also announced that OVO Fest will be making its comeback in 2022.
“I love you with all of my heart. They let the city back open so I will see you at OVO Fest soon,” Drake told the crowd that obviously proceeded to go wild.
While the date and lineup for the 2022 edition of the festival was not included in the announcement, people are sharing their excitement online.
Even Rolling Loud decided to get in on the fun.
The most recent OVO Fest took place in 2019 featuring B2K, Chingy, Lloyd, and more on the lineup. Many fans were upset that lawn tickets for the festival started at $383 USD with seats closer to the stage going for $1,918.
OVO Fest 2022 will be the tenth iteration of the festival.
