In a recent British GQfeature, Toliver’s tentatively titled Lovesick album was said to be almost finished, although a release date still hasn’t (publicly) been set. According to Toliver, his aim of getting to a sound of “futuristic R&B and soul” is now coming to fruition.

Ahead of the “Do It Right” rollout, Toliver joined up with Trippie Redd for the release of his “Ain’t Safe” song and video. Toliver has also recently made appearances on new albums from SoFaygo and Wizkid, as well as a track with Baby Keem and PinkPantheress (“killstreaks”) off the latter’s deluxe-ified Melodic Blue album.

Toliver’s most recent full-length studio project, Life of a Don, arrived in 2021 and was ultimately highlighted by Complex as among the best albums of the year.
