Offset brought his two most recent singles to the Tonight Show stage on Tuesday night, as well as joined the host for a quick sit-down in which he teased one day enlisting his oldest son for a collab.

When speaking with Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday’s show, Offset was mostly asked about his involvement with the HBO Max competition series The Hype, which is set to return for its second season later this month. But Fallon also got Offset to talk about the recent first birthday party for his and Cardi B’s son Wave, not to mention the recently discovered beat-making prowess of his oldest son, Jordan.

“We was in the house and I went downstairs and he was on the computer and I heard, like, a beat being made,” Offset told Fallon of the recent discovery, video of which he shared with pride. “So I looked … and he making a beat. And I’m just listening so I record him and then I posted it. And everybody was like, ‘Oh, this hard.’”

Offset said he ultimately asked his son how long he had been making beats, noting that he initially “had no clue” his son had gotten into making his own beats.

“I’m just trying to let him get nice and seasoned and then I’m probably gon’ do something with him for the album,” Offset added.

Not discussed during the Fallon chat was future Migos plans, though this is in line with previous comments on the trio’s current status from Quavo. In July, Quavo explained in aGQ Hype interview that the trio is simply at a place in their career where it’s important for each individual member to “establish themselves” by building up separate bodies of work.

“If not, you start losing members,” he said at the time.

This week, Quavo tagged Takeoff in a tweet teasing the impending beginning of “a new chapter.”
