With Friday’s kickoff of the 2022 edition of the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, attendees are gathering in Indio for two weekends of music for the first time in three years.

The first day of the two-weekend experience is headlined by Harry Styles and will also feature performances from Lil Baby, Phoebe Bridgers, Baby Keem, Daniel Caesar, Big Sean, Cordae, and many more. As previously reported, would-be surprises are also on the agenda.

Saturday (i.e. April 16 and April 23), meanwhile, sees Billie Eilish getting top billing, while Sunday (April 17 and April 24) is headlined by Swedish House Mafia x The Weeknd. Initially, this slot belonged to the artist formerly known as Kanye West, who ultimately called off his performance.

Once again serving as the official livestream partner for Coachella in 2022 is YouTube, who will have multiple feeds going for both weekends so those at home can still partake in the repeatedly pandemic-delayed festival.

As with any event of this size, attendees can also expect to be treated to a variety of surrounding pop-ups and activations, including several featuring intimate performances. Jack Harlow and Saweetie, for example, are taking part in the festival debut of El Segundo-based wellness company Liquid I.V.

Below, we’ve rounded up a few highlights from the 2022 assortment of Coachella-adjacent events. This list may be updated.

The streaming platform is hosting a trio of interactive experiences at this year’s Coachella, leading with April 15’s album release party for Swedish House Mafia’s Paradise Again. Opening for Mafia at the late-night event will be Damian Lazarus and Cole Knight.

On April 16, Spotify’s Desert Kickback will provide invited guests with exclusive sets from Kitty Ca$h, Channel Tres, and SG Lewis. Finally, Spotify’s K-Pop Cafe at REVOLVE Festival (April 16-17) is slated to feature appearances from familiar (though as-yet-unnamed) creatives.

American Express is also taking a multi-event approach to this year’s Coachella season. The Bravado-partnering Amex Artist Shop will feature exclusive (and limited edition) festival merch pieces from Billie Eilish and Conan Gray, among others. The shop will be available to shop on the first day of both weekends and notably features a $100 upcycled Billie Eilish zip-up hoodie. Pieces will later be made available online for card members.

Meanwhile, the American Express Lounge allows for card members (and up to three guests) to gain entry for an experience featuring a range of activities and services, including charging stations.

In celebration of the brand’s return to Coachella with the Antarctic Dome, HP is launching its inaugural NFT. To do so, HP has linked up with ODESZA for a “short immersive film” featuring the work of nine digital artists who all used HP computers in their contributions.

The aforementioned Antarctic, meanwhile, will stand as a 360-degree “audio visual sensory adventure” housed in the Dome.

Spanning both weekends, the Heineken House sees a stacked lineup of performers bringing to life a uniquely immersive space. The experience will be further complemented by the unveiling of a number of art installations, as well as, expectedly, a range of beverage options.

The first weekend lineup for the Heineken House will feature Flying Lotus, Thundercat, Vegyn, and more. The second weekend, meanwhile, will feature Jacques Greene and DBN Gogo, among others.

As mentioned above, the dehydration battlers over at Liquid I.V. are making their festival season debut with the launch of the House of Hydration experience on April 16. Both Jack Harlow and Saweetie are set to give attendees exclusive performances, with special DJ sets provided by MAAD.
