“Chloe Bailey had tried to talk to me when we was in high school but I told her one day she gon be a star don’t focus on me..focus on your craft,” wrote user @10OnTheFace. “And look what she done. Proud of her.”
Bailey, who goes by the moniker Chlöe for her solo material, wasn’t impressed with the tall tale, deeming it necessary to shut it down in what can only be described as the funniest way possible.
“i was homeschooled for HS,” Bailey wrote along some crying emojis, which is likely what the Twitter user looked like after he spotted her reply.
Of course, @10OnTheFace was quick to respond, telling the music star to “shutcho fine ass up and let me live my lie.”
While rumors are easy to be annoyed by, for In the Know’s digital cover last month Chloe Bailey opened up about comparisons between her and younger sister Halle, and how those can get pretty frustrating, too.
“But I will tell you what annoys me a lot,” she said. “I hate when people online constantly try to compare my sister and I. It is the most shallow, most disturbing thing. It was very off-putting to know how people would try to put two young Black sisters who love their craft so much and love each other so much, how they try to pit them against each other just because they’re different in some ways. So that’s the only downside.”
