Post Malone revealed on Wednesday that his own French rosé wine called Maison No. 9 will go on sale next month.

Maison No. 9 was founded by Post, his longtime manager Dre London, and friend James Morrissey. London toldForbes that Malone developed an "acquired, expensive wine taste" after becoming friends with Mark Wahlberg. "We started going to Mark Wahlberg's house, and he has this crazy wine collection," London said. "Post started getting this acquired, expensive wine taste. All of a sudden, he’s this expert wine palate drinker guy. It all started with Mark Wahlberg."

Malone made his on-screen acting debut in the 2020 Netflix film Spenser Confidential, which Wahlberg starred in and produced. Post is also credited for voicing the character Brooklyn Bystander in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse

Malone's newfound interest in wine came at the right time in February 2019 when he met up with Morrissey, an entrepreneur for Global Brand Equities, who had just come back from visiting a small vineyard in France. "We had dinner that night in LA, and five days later I met the guys in Dublin where they were doing a show," he recalls. "Three days later, we were in the south of France tasting the liquid at the winery. That was 10 days after the first discussion. These guys don't wait around when they see an opportunity."

The MDCV Winery has made a few appearances in the past. It is among the moments where Post is flexing in the music video for "Saint-Tropez," and the backdrop for his Beats 1 interview with Zane Lowe in conjunction with the release of Hollywood's Bleeding. "I wanted to make something that after a long, anxious day, and you're working your ass off and nothing seems to be going right, you can sit at home and relax, have a couple of glasses," Malone said about his rosé wine at the time.

"Rosé is for when you want to get a little fancy," Post said in a statement. "It's a nice switch up and I have been thinking about doing my own wine for a while. It was great to work with Global Brand Equities because they saw the vision and we got to do some super cool stuff. Maison No. 9 goes down smooth, and you're all going to love it!"

Maison No. 9 will be available in-store and online in June.
