As 2019 approaches its midway point, Hits Daily Double has broken down the best-performing albums of the year so far. Perhaps unsurprisingly, Ariana Grande is in the No. 1 spot with Thank U, Next, which has reportedly earned an impressive 1.3 million album-equivalent units.

The top three spots of the 2019 all belong to women, with Billie Eilish coming in at No. 2 with WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? (861,000 units), while Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper's A Star is Born soundtrack sits at No. 3 with 750,000 units. A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie's Hoodie SZN sits at No. 4 (654,000 units) as the best-performing 2019 rap release. The tally includes 960,107,000 total streams.

A number of holdovers from 2018 have snuck into the top 10, as Post Malone's Beerbongs & Bentleys takes the No. 6 spot, while Drake's Scorpion and Meek Mill's Championships take No. 8 and No. 9, respectively. Rounding out the top 10 is Juice WRLD's Death Race for Love, which performed remarkably well when it debuted back in March.

Khalid has squeezed his way into the top five of the list with his new album Free Spirit (653,000 units). Ariana Grande, Khalid, Billie Eilish, Post Malone, Juice WRLD, and Queen all appear in the top 50 more than once.
