The fallout of Kanye West's mostly one-sided spat with Drake on Twitter had some nasty effects on some other individuals close to the situation, with frequent collaborator Travis Scott facing the worst of it. Yeezy took issue with Drake's "Checks over stripes" line on his collab with La Flame, "Sicko Mode," leading him to tweet, "Meeting with Trav tonight bet it never be a checks over stripes line again on a Trav song on Donda."
Naturally, fans began to speculate that Travis was being petty when he posted a selfie on Instagram the same day, prominently featuring a Nike check.
Travis Scott and Drizzy both have partnerships with Nike, while Kanye famously has a deal with Adidas, hence the line. Kanye accused Trav of letting Drake diss him on the song, and as such he wanted to arrange a meeting with the Houston rapper. Kylie Jenner, who Travis has a child with, wanted to clear up the situation after he was accused of being petty towards Kanye on Instagram.
"He's not being petty," she wrote. "This is a sweatshirt design (the sock is a part of the design). Everyone is good, moved on, living life. For anyone who wasn't aware-Travis has had a deal with Nike and still does. Point is... It's all been talked out. It's only positive energy."
This, of course, echoes Kanye's sentiments on the situation back on Saturday (Dec. 15), with him tweeting, "Met with Trav at my crib this morning. We expressed ourselves. it's all love."
