Though it's not yet clear what will be included as part of the team-up, Rocky and AWGE are promising an unveiling is set to take place "soon."

The AWGE team has something official on the way involving Mercedes-Benz.

Tuesday, ASAP Rocky made a somewhat rare appearance on Instagram to share a clip of a chromed out AWGE logo, as well as multiple images of pieces (including jackets) carrying both AWGE and Mercedes-Benz insignia.

“HISTORY IN DA MAKING,” Rocky said in the caption of the later-removed post. “MERCEDES BENZ X AWGE DROPPING A$AP!!!” In a separate post shared shortly after, the official AWGE account confirmed the pairing will arrive “soon.” The official Mercedes-Benz IG account, meanwhile, jumped in the comments on Rocky’s initial post by way of a heart emoji.

The full extent of AWGE and Mercedes-Benz’s collaborative relationship remains to be seen. Rocky, however, is no stranger to the Germany luxury brand. The Testing artist’s AWGE team linked up with Mercedes back in 2019 for a trucker hat. In 2017, Rocky was featured in Mercedes’ “Get a Job” ad, seen below.

And just last month, the recent Morrissey collaborator was spotted with Rihanna at an Off-White show in Paris, notably wearing the Mercedes-Benz logo on both his leather pants and leather jacket. The late Off-White founder Virgil Abloh, of course, also worked with Mercedes.

Also in February, ASAP Rocky and PacSun launched a new collab collection from Eddie Bauer and ASAP Worldwide. As announced last July, Rocky is the lifestyle brand’s first-ever artistic director.

Following the Mercedes-Benz tease on his IG, a GQ chat with Rocky went live during which the capsule collaboration was given more context. As revealed in the piece, the collection will see the auto logo being emblazoned on oversized hoodies, reflective work pants, a camping chair, and more. The chair, it’s suggested, is a nod to Rocky and Rihanna’s expansive road trip experience circa 2020.

Coinciding with the interview’s release, Rocky also shared a short video in promotion of “PHA$E 1” of the partnership.
