Kylian Mbappé has reportedly received a massive a record €300 million ($332m) bid one-year offer from Saudi Arabian soccer club Al-Hilal, setting the sports world on fire.
According to multiple reports, the offer could eventually be for more than $700 million.
Al-Hilal made the world record offer to snag the French superstar away from his Ligue 1 club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG). The total package Al-Hilal made to Mbappé is ridiculous, to say the least.
The sports world, mainly the NBA, has been going wild since the news broke, with LeBron James using a Forest Gump running meme to joke that he was headed to Saudi after his buddies Rich Paul and Maverick Carter get him a deal, writing, "Me headed to Saudi when they call @RichPaul4 & @mavcarter for that 1 year deal!"
King James signed a new contract with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2022 that gave him $532 million in guaranteed career earnings and made the four-time NBA champion the highest-paid player in NBA history in terms of salary. Mbappé's proposed one-year deal completely obliterates that by $240 million.
Meanwhile. seven-time NBA All-Star Damian Lillard wrote, "1 year 776mm? Wtf lol …" while four-time NBA All-Defensive First Team player Draymond Green had some fun with the news as well, stating, "They got basketball leagues too right? I don't the ink on my contract has dried up yet."
2021 NBA Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, who shares a striking resemblance to Mbappé, said, "Al Hilal you can take me. I look like Kylian Mbappe," which the soccer star retweeted with a series of laughing emojis.
