TBS ran an elaborate and strange promo for the HBO series 'House of the Dragon' during Game 1 of the ALDS between the Yankees and Guardians.

TBS got lambasted for its poorly-received promotion of the Game of Thrones prequel series House of the Dragon during Tuesday’s Game 1 ALDS showdown between the New York Yankees and Cleveland Guardians.
The promo started with play-by-play announcer Bob Costas using a serious tone to reveal that there was some uncertainty about Game 1 being played in Yankee Stadium. Costas warned the audience that what they were about to hear was “shocking” before handing the story over to Lauren Shehadi.
Shehadi provided details regarding what she knew so far about…a dragon, or as she called it, “one of the stars of HBO’s House of the Dragon,” hovering over the stadium. Without the aid of poor lighting, as we saw in the “Driftmark” episode, everyone got to see a particularly shoddy CGI dragon in all its dubious glory.
“Officials are hopeful the dragon won’t breathe fire during game play, but we’ll see if he complies,” Shehadi concluded.
