Just a few months after it was announced that Megan Thee Stallion had signed a first-look deal with Netflix to create and executive produce her own shows, the streamer on Thursday shared more details regarding its partnership with the hip-hop star.

In a new interview with Deadline, Netflix’s head of comedy Tracey Pakosta revealed that the streaming service is developing a comedy series loosely based on Megan’s life.

“It’s very early stages. She came in and she pitched something loosely based on her life growing up, and we got very excited about it,” Pakosta said. “We think she’s special.”

When announcing Netflix’s first-look deal with Megan back in December, Pakosta called the Houston rapper a “multi-talented creative force.”

“Megan is a multi-talented creative force who has consistently made her mark on culture,” Pakosta said. “She’s always growing and evolving as an artist, and we’re thrilled that she’s making a home at Netflix for this next chapter in her journey.”

Megan also commented on her excitement about the deal with the streamer and said she’s looking forward to it all.

“I’ve always had a passion for telling creative and entertaining stories, so I’m thrilled about this partnership with Netflix,” Meg said. “Venturing into production is the next step in my journey as an entrepreneur and I can’t wait to bring all my ideas to life and for my Hotties to watch.”

Stay tuned for more details regarding the forthcoming comedy series.
