Megan Thee Stallion’s full interview with Gayle King was released Monday.

In it, Megan looked back on the 2020 shooting allegedly involving Tory Lanez. “This was one of them times where, it shouldn’t have gotten this crazy,” Megan told Gayle when recalling the evening in question.

After reportedly shooting Megan’s foot during the incident, Tory is further alleged to have offered her $1 million to keep quiet.

“He is standing up over the window, shooting. I didn’t even wanna move. I didn’t want to move too quick. … I was really scared because I had never been shot at before,” Megan said around the 4:15 mark in the video up top. In the immediate aftermath, Megan said, Tory apologized and made the aforementioned alleged offer.

“I’ll give y’all a million dollars if y’all don’t say nothing,” he’s alleged to have said.

A key takeaway in Monday’s interview was a medical report revealing Megan still has bullet fragments in her feet from the shooting. Complex reviewed the records, which state:

“The risks and benefits of operative treatment were discussed in depth and they include but are not limited to injury to the arteries, veins and nerves in region, immobility, pain, bed sores, infection, joint instability, stiffness, loss of function of the extremity, need for reoperation and death.”

The interview with King marks the first time Megan has spoken about the shooting in a TV interview. Per Megan, the evening in question began with a party at Kylie Jenner’s house. From there, she ended up in a car with her friend at the time, Kelsey Harris, as well as Tory Lanez and a driver/security team member. An argument is said to have started, ultimately inspiring Megan to exit the car. She later expressed regret over getting back in the car after being persuaded.

“The arguing in the car is getting worse and I don’t wanna be in this car no more, because I see it’s getting crazy,” Megan said. She also recalled allegedly being told “dance, bitch” before the shooting began.

As for her initial interactions with police over the shooting, Megan noted that pervasive instances of police brutality nationwide made her skeptical about the responding officers not escalating the situation even further.

“The George Floyd incident had just happened,” she said around the 5:39 mark. “The police are definitely very much shoot first, ask questions after. So I’m like, it’s a hot gun in the car, I’m bleeding, I’ve been shot. They’re about to kill somebody. Something bad is about to happen.”

Due to this, Megan explained, she first told police she had sustained her injuries from stepping on glass. “I didn’t want them to kill any of us, or shoot any of us,” she said.

As for Tory Lanez-related developments in the time since the shooting, Megan said he is “trying to deflect from the fact that he committed a crime.” Lanez has pleaded not guilty to charges in connection with the shooting. Megan was also asked by Gayle if she and Tory had ever had an “intimate relationship,” with Megan noting they had grown “close” as friends at the time and had initially bonded over losing parents.

“I didn’t have a sexual relationship with Tory,” she said around the 9:41 mark.

This month, a judge found Lanez to be in violation of a protective order in connection with the Megan case. His bail was also increased in connection with a number of tweets, including—as detailed in this BuzzFeed News report—inaccurate info on the case. A prior preliminary hearing also included mention of gunshot residue being reported to have been found on Lanez’s hands, as well as Kelsey’s. The latter point (which had previously been shared with a focus on Kelsey instead of Tory) was resurfaced on the day Megan’s interview premiered. Per the latest info, a trial date is set for this September.
