It seems Kim Kardashian is prepping for her upcoming role in American Horror Story.

The reality star took to Instagram on Sunday to share a selfie, but it seems like she wasn’t by herself.

"Soooo I took this pic last week when I was alone and now going through my phone I am freaking out noticing a woman in the window," Kardashian wrote in the photo's caption.

While it does appear that the woman in question is likely a reflection of Kardashian in her TV from another angle, her fans played along, with many joking that it was a ghost. Others quipped that it was Todd Kraines—an infamous prank that Scott Disick used to play on the Kardashians during Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Kardashian is gearing up to appear in Season 12 of American Horror Story in a role that was created “especially for” her by showrunner Halley Feiffer, per AHS co-creator Ryan Murphy. Kardashian will be playing opposite Emma Roberts, who is making her return to the show.

“Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family,” Murphy told The Hollywood Reporter in April. "Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Feiffer has written a fun, stylish, and ultimately terrifying role, especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done."

However, Kardashian's role hasn't been well-received by everyone. Fellow AHS actress Patti LuPone commented on her casting in an April episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, saying, “Excuse me, Kim. What are you doing with your life? Don’t get on the stage.”

Regardless, Kardashian is excited. The 42-year-old told Variety at the Met Gala in early May that she was taking acting lessons and was set to start shooting at the end of the month. “It’s really fun to step outside of your comfort zone and try something new and grow,” she added. “I’m so excited for the experience.”

The exact date for the upcoming season of AHS isn’t yet known, though a teaser trailer revealed that it would arrive this summer, airing weekly on FX and available to stream on Hulu.
