The aforementioned “Hotel Lobby,” which arrived back in May, was billed under the playful Unc and Phew moniker, with the accompanying video taking equally playful inspiration from Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. At the time, speculation was still building about the current status of Migos.
In a recent GQ Hype interview, Quavo addressed such speculation by explaining that it was time for each member of the group to “establish themselves” for the betterment of their individual and collective growth.
“I feel like every group member has to establish themselves. Their own body of work,’ he said at the time. “If not, you start losing members.”
This week, Migos was announced to be performing at next month’s Pepsi National Battle of the Bands event. Notably, a press release for the announcement did not mention Offset, who was also not included in a social media post promoting the performance at NRG Stadium in Houston.
