Ken Carson’s X, a 20-track journey with just two features, has arrived.

The release marks Carson’s major label debut album and is the follow-up to last year’s Project X mixtape. As for the features, those come from Carson’s fellow Opium Records (Playboi Carti’s label) signees Destroy Lonely and Homixide Gang. The former appears on the tracks “MDMA” and “Murda Musik,” while Homixide Gang is enlisted for “Delinquent.”

Carson recently spoke with Jessica McKinney for Complex, giving fans some insight into not only what he believes sets him apart from other artists at the moment, but also his thoughts on Atlanta’s dominance in the modern music space.

“You know, they own hip-hop,” he said. “Atlanta is kind of dominating the scene right now. I mean, it’s Carti, it’s a bunch of different people. It’s a lot of people from Atlanta that’s super talented. I feel like Atlanta pressures you to become something.”

Asked to name which ATL artists he considers the “most influential” right now, Carson shouted out Future and Playboi Carti while also including himself in that group. See the full interview here.

Starting in August, Carson will be out on the road for his X-Man tour, which is set to close with two back-to-back dates in Atlanta. For a full list of 2022 dates, hit this link.
