Nearly four years after the release of his last full-length solo offering DiCaprio 2, JID returns with his third studio album The Forever Story.
The 15-track project features the previously released singles “Dance Now” featuring Kenny Mason and “Surround Surround” with 21 Savage, and is highlighted by guest appearances from Lil Wayne (“Just in Time”), Lil Durk (“Bruddanem”), EarthGang (“Can’t Punk Me”), Ari Lennox (“Can’t Make U Change”), Yasiin Bey (“Stars”), and more.
Since putting out his second LP Dicaprio 2 in 2018, JID has continued his momentum with his appearances on a pair of Dreamville compilations (2020’s Revenge of the Dreamers 2, 2022’s D-Day), as well as his 2020 collab album with Spillage Village Spilligion.
Earlier this month, JID spoke with Complex’s Jordan Rose about his next effort, revealing the third project in his DiCaprio trilogy is going to be a Gangsta Grillz tape.
“Me and [DJ] Drama are really gonna do it right,” he said. “I’m talkin’ about on other n***as beats. We’re going to do a DiCaprio 3.”
