Jack Harlow raised eyebrows when photos surfaced of him wearing a bonnet.
On Sunday, Harlow attended a Louisville City Football Club game, casually rocking the headwear as he posed for photos with fans.
"Thanks for the support, [Jack Harlow]," the team tweeted alongside several pics.
As the post went viral, social media had some words for the "They Don't Love It" rapper, with some accusing him of cultural appropriation.
"Yk i thought you was cool @jackharlow but this? oh i'm taking this as DISRESPECT. i need you to TAKE IT OFF," tweeted user @riatheevirgo.
Another user spoke on how Harlow's fashion choice exposes the double standards against Black women as society too often deems bonnets "ghetto" if worn in public.
"They're mad because if a Black woman does this, she's called ghetto for it, but Jack, a white man, is getting none of that same smoke," @official_lourob tweeted.
"Why y’all not calling jack harlow ghetto and unclassy l for wearing that bonnet?" questioned one person, while another opined, "He saw the bonnets in public discourse and picked a side."
The Grammy nominee has yet to comment on the reactions.
