Feel the energy, channel it, and be renewed for the rest of the day.
The video is the New Orleans rapper’s first Instagram post since March, which is an eventful detail in and of itself. What’s more, the choice of a Views song is pretty original, at least considering there’s approximately 7,000 Drake tracks that have been more popular than “Feel No Ways” since 2016. Take, for example, the new feels-oriented “In My Feelings,” which has dominated the summer with a particularly trendy dance challenge.
Perhaps Jay Elec chose the song for the exact reaction it got from Erykah, who's especially not into the fact that he’s filming it. Her side-eye is a total mood.
More demanding fans will notice this is yet another Jay Electronica story that makes no mention of his storied debut album, still nowhere to be seen. In early 2017, he said it was coming soon, but tempered any anticipation by explaining that “regardless of the 6 billion people on planet Earth, even if I put something out and the whole 6 billion say it’s absolutely beautiful and I don’t feel okay with it, I’m the one that carries that. I have to be at a place where I’m pleased with the offering.”
