6ix9ine has released a new songΒ titled β€œGooba” on his birthday. It’s the first track he’s dropped since he was released to home confinement in early April. Watch the brand new video above.

HeΒ announced the new single on Thursday via a billboard in Times Square that readΒ β€œThe King Is Back.” He also hosted an Instagram Live session alongside the song’s Friday release.Β β€œGooba” was produced by Harald Hjermann Srobo and Jahnei Clarke.

β€œIf a rat came home and did more numbers than, I'd be mad. You have every reason to be mad,” 6ix9ine said during the IG Live session.

6ix9ine was released from prison due to his history as an asthmatic, which made him more susceptible to contracting COVID-19. His release date was set for August after he was sentenced to two years in prison, including time served, in December 2019. He first filed to be released to home incarceration in late March, thoughΒ his request was initially denied.

Many artists aren't welcoming 6ix9ine back with open arms. In addition to hisΒ recent back-and-forth with 50 Cent, the incarcerated rapper has also gotten into it with Meek Mill. On Friday morning, Meek apparently addressed 6ix9ine’s then-forthcoming IG Live session, though he didn’t directly name 69.

β€œI hope that rat going live to apologize to the people he told on or the victim,” Meek tweeted. β€œY'all forgot that fast a 'rat' killed Nipsey he wasn't suppose to be on the streets! That's the only thing ima day [sic] because he's dead... Left his baby mom and child like a coward as targets!”

6ix9ine later responded, writing, β€œImagine having a new born baby come into the world & be pressed about a Mexican with rainbow hair.”

Meek then tweeted his reaction to 6ix9ine's new video, writing,Β β€œShit superrrrr trashhhhhhhhhhh .... you gone up a 100 shots. stop turn Durkio and nav back on!”

The controversial rapper has still hadΒ a successful career. In October, reports surfaced that he signed a record deal worth over $10 million with his former label, 10K Projects.
