Ahead of the release of his forthcoming EP Mr. Digital, Atlanta super-producer Sonny Digital taps rising rapper SSGKobe for the project’s first single, “Guess What.”
Scheduled to arrive this summer, Mr. Digital marks Sonny Digital’s debut project since signing a deal with Generation Now, the Atlantic Records imprint home to a star-studded roster that includes Lil Uzi Vert and Jack Harlow.
Over the past decade, Sonny Digital has established his status as one of the most prolific producers in the game, crafting beats for countless hit songs like Future’s “Same Damn Time,” 2 Chainz’s “Birthday Song,” and iLoveMakonnen’s “Tuesday.”
Meanwhile, “Guess What” catches SSGKobe on the cusp of stardom, as the Louisiana rapper catapulted into the mainstream last year on the strength of a string of hit singles, “Thrax,” “MIA,” and “Calabasas.”
Just last week, Pigeons & Planes and BeatStars enlisted SSGKobe to headline their first beat submission campaign, a new collaboration between the pair that hopes to assist “producers to get their beats directly to artists and their teams for a potential placement.”
