Ty Dolla Sign and Mustard Drop Lil Durk-Featuring "My Friends," Announce Collab Album (UPDATE)
Ty Dolla Sign and Mustard have teamed up for a collaborative album, and they just shared the first single featuring Lil Durk, the aptly titled "My Friends."
UPDATED 10/21 2:10 p.m. ET: Following the release of “My Friends” last week, Ty Dolla and Mustard have shared the music video for the Lil Durk-featuring single.
The Daniel Russell-directed video opens with Ty being reminded that he needs to get to the studio, and that he actually shot the video for one of the tracks the night before. “I knew you was high, n***a, but that damn high,” Ty is told over the phone upon waking up. The colorful clip shows the three artists joined by women and a pair of low-riders that resemble pinatas.

Ty Dolla Sign and Mustard teamed up for a collaborative album, and they’ve shared the first single, “My Friends” featuring Lil Durk.
Over some colorful, brassy production from the always-reliable DJ/producer, Ty shares his appreciation for those closest to him. Durk provides a different energy, but sounds just as home atop the vibrant beat.
“Every time my brother Mustard and I link up, we make history; 'Paranoid,' 'Or Nah,' and now 'My Friends,'" said Ty in a statement about the single. "What’s success and fortune if you ain’t getting it with your day ones? Big shout out to Durk for being a part of this song.”
Mustard added that the pair have been working together for over a decade now, and “it’s always special when me and Ty link.”
The two have yet to announce a title or release date for their first collaborative record, but it’s likely not too far off following the arrival of “My Friends.” The single comes shortly after Ty Dolla Sign showed up in a supporting role in Kid Cudi’s Entergalatic, an animated Netflix special that was accompanied by a new album which Ty also appeared on.
