Kendrick Lamar is reportedly gearing up to buy a Brooklyn Bridge penthouse that will cost him $8.9 million.

As reported by the New York Post, the rapper has settled on a luxury condo after he was spotted viewing several properties in New York City earlier this month. According to a source, he's close to finalizing his purchase of the Pierhouse at Brooklyn Bridge Park penthouse, which had an asking price of $8.99 million. Kendrick's main residence is in California, but this new property will give him a permanent place on the opposite coast.

The property features three levels, including four bedrooms and almost 2,000 square feet of outdoor space across two levels. One of the outdoor spaces is a private rooftop, which overlooks the East River and Brooklyn Bridge Park. The building itself comes with services including a doorman, a concierge, a meditation studio, a playroom for children, a pet wash, storage for bikes and on-site parking, and a lounge for residents.

Per the Post, Lamar previously looked at luxury properties in the Quay Tower in Brooklyn Heights and the Olympia in Dumbo. They were also listed for similar prices around at $10 million or so.

Lamar's big purchase comes not long after he was announced as one of the headliners for Tyler, the Creator's Camp Flog Gnaw festival. He won't be performing alone, however, as he'll be tagging along with cousin and frequent collaborator Baby Keem as The Hillbillies, which suggests they could have a collaborative project on the way. The duo previously shared a song titled "The Hillbillies" back in May, and the music video even featured a cameo from Tyler and hinted at Flog Gnaw. Before that festival in November, however, he's also set to headline ONE Musicfest 2023 in Atlanta in October.

In June, Lamar gave fans a closer look at his personal life after he made his burner Instagram account public. Last month, he showcased his "big protein" workout that he's been partaking in as of late.
