6ix9ine is facing jail time. The Manhattan District Attorney’s Office recently recommend that the controversial Brooklyn rapper be given a one-to-three year prison sentence for violating the terms of his plea deal. The prosecution is also asking he register as a sex offender.
6ix9ine, who's real name is name Daniel Hernandez, took to Instagram to address his legal situation. "I know I troll a lot, but for the people who care [...] I want you to take a second and look into my case. Three and a half years ago, I'm not this famous rapper that has $10,000 dollars to pay for a private lawyer. I had to settle for a public defender. A court ordered lawyer, at this time I'm scared," the rapper remarked. "They’re saying ‘yo, you’re going to get 15 years’ and I'm like no I gotta daughter on the way. It's 2015, I'm 18 years old. Give me anything but jail time. If you look into the case, this is just another story of a minority, youth being under the court system built for me to fail. For the people saying: 'yo, 6ix9ine you not taking this serious.' I am. Trust me, I am."

Hernandez previously plead guilty to use of a child in a sexual performance. The plea deal stipulated that the "FEFE" rapper not break any laws. He's since been arrested for allegedly choking a teenager at a Texas mall and for driving without a license.
“Defendant has had over two years to demonstrate to this Court that the role he played in the sexual exploitation of a thirteen-year-old child was an aberration in his otherwise law abiding life. He has failed to do so,” the prosecution wrote.
6ix9ine's sentencing hearing is scheduled for Oct. 2.
