It seems that Pop Smoke's death has caused 2 Chainz to reflect on his own mortality.

On Wednesday, the Atlanta native took to Instagram to talk about the dangers of being rapper. Alongside an image of the text, “Success is dangerous. You sure you want this sh*t,” he reflected on the times he’s been in peril since his rise to rap prominence.

“Been shot at in San Fran , got arrested in Maryland , La , New York and Oklahoma , had a so call stand off with police in Oklahoma , Cali spot got broken into 4 times alll on tape and one of them even left they phone.”

He continued, “ALLL SINCE I BEEN A 'RAPPER' you literally gotta Pray that you make it back home safe !! But then you not even safe at home..  my condolences.”

2 Chainz’s message comes after Pop Smoke was gunned down in a Hollywood Hills home on Wednesday. His murder was initially reported as a home invasion robbery. Now, a new report via TMZ claims his death was a “targeted” incident, after surveillance footage “from outside” the home where he was shot suggests as much.
