Last fall, the unexpected pairing of Skrillex and Ty Dolla Sign helped Mariah Carey make her grand return on the infectious Caution cut "The Distance." It looks like that wasn't the only thing they worked on, as OWSLA just dropped Skrillex, Ty, and Boys Noize's house-heavy "Midnight Hour," which is also Skrillex's first official single since his 2017 Poo Bear collab "Would You Ever."

"Midnight Hour" is a beautiful mix of R&B and house, with Ty's soaring vocals leading us to the edge of the cliff before Skrillex and Boys Noize (a.k.a. Dog Blood) get wild and murky in the dance. It's one of those cuts that will have heads going ham in the club, but not the usual vibe you'd expect from Skrillex. Truth be told, that's the key: Skrillex might've been known for a particular style of dubstep/EDM, but over the years he's proven—on the low—that his sound is way broader than those who've pigeonholed him.

With rumblings that this is just the tip of the iceberg, expect to hear more of Skrillex's wide-ranging sound in what we hope is the near future. For now, stream TF out of "Midnight Hour" below.
