Hip-hop continues its airwave dominance, and the top-charting artists of 2018 prove it. According to Billboard, Drake, Travis Scott, and Lil Wayne had the most Billboard Hot 100 entries of this year.

While unsurprising, the feat is still impressive in a year with a record amount of releases from legends like Kanye, Nas, JAY-Z and Beyoncé, and more. It seems like everyone who is anybody dropped an album this year, but Drake topped them all with 35 entries thanks to his summer release Scorpion and viral hits "God's Plan" and "Nice For What."

Travis Scott came in second with 31 entries thanks to Astroworld and “Sicko Mode,” and Lil Wayne’s comebackThe Carter V gave him the No. 3 spot with 25 entries.

The top ten also included newcomers like Cardi B and Lil Baby, as well as the late XXXTentacion, Post Malone, Nicki Minaj, Meek Mill, Eminem, and Migos. The only non-hip hop artist on the list is pop R&B singer Khalid, who did not even put out a project this year.

Many of the top 10 artists collaborated with each other, and that is doubly true for Drake. Lil Baby and Drake teamed up on “Yes Indeed,” Drake and Migos toured together and collabed on “Walk It Talk It,” Drake and Meek Mill reunited following their feud with “Going Bad,” and, of course, he has his possibly-Kanye-dissing-verse on “Sicko Mode.”

With all these releases, you have to wonder what we have to look forward to in 2019.
