Because, of course he did.

50 Cent is the moth and drama is the flame.

On Tuesday night, the G-Unit boss hit up the 'Gram in an attempt to defend Nicki Minaj against designer Steve Madden. For those who aren't up to speed, here's a quick breakdown on how this random beef started: Nicki and Cardi B exchanged a series of insults and accusations on social media Monday. One of the main issues concerned fashion campaigns that were purportedly presented to both artists. Cardi claimed the only reason Nicki landed the Diesel partnership is because she previously rejected the same offer. The jean brand subsequently denied this; however, Cardi was quick to post the receipts.

Nicki fired back, suggesting Cardi's deal with Steve Madden was presented to her first. The brand then insisted Nicki wasn't telling the truth: "You can't turn down an offer that was never made. #StopLying."

So, this is where Fif comes in. The hip-hop mogul shared a screenshot of Madden's 2015 Vibe interview, in which the designer spoke about a would be Nicki collaboration.

Per Vibe:

Another rapstress who could have collected a check from Madden and ironically, Iggy’s foe? Nicki Minaj. "I was gonna do a collaboration with Nicki Minaj and we got into a fight the first minute we met," he recalls, without pinpointing the exact cause. "And then we patched it up. We were cool. We text each other, we became sort of buddies. We were thinking of doing something, and I would’ve, but I was with Iggy and I thought, 'Coke and Pepsi.' It was a mistake. I made a mistake and I wish that I could go back in time and work with Nicki instead of Iggy."

50 was quick to call Madden a liar; however, as you can see in the excerpt above, this isn't exactly a "gotcha" moment. Nowhere in that paragraph does Madden mention offering Nicki a deal. It's also important to note that this doesn't refute the Queen rapper's claim, as she said the alleged offer was presented by Irv Gotti, not directly from Madden.

Even Iggy Azalea offered her thoughts on the whole thing by calling out Madden. Peep it below.

There's a lot of he-said, she-said in this mess, so who knows if we'll ever know the full truth. We're just glad Cardi and Nicki have seemingly called a truce.
