Song: Dr. Dre f/ Snoop Dogg "Nuthin But a 'G' Thang" (1992)
It's the worst rap line everybody knows, and for that-because it didn't ruin the track it's on, and because it's only cringe-worthy to anyone who decides to get to know the track's lyrics beyond memorizing them-it's not the worst rap line by a great rapper, but it's still pretty terrible. Who's never letting him slip? But more importantly, yes, if one slips, they are indeed slipping. And?... It's a line that's ironically the opposite of slippery-slope logic, in that in makes perfect sense, but so much sense that there's no point in saying it to begin with. And to that end, it's doubly ironic: This is an incredible rapper, slipping harder than anyone like him in a more memorable way than any others like it on an otherwise near-perfect track that, over two decades later, makes us think that Dre was indeed "straight tripping."
