The 29-year-old rapper was filmed getting the ink earlier this week. It's still unclear what it says, as Cardi has yet to share a close-up with fans.

Cardi B Gets a New Face Tattoo

Cardi B has finally pulled the trigger on getting a face tattoo.

A newly surfaced video shows the 29-year-old lying on a tattoo bed while getting inked up by Robinson De Los Santos. The tattoo artist shared the clip via Instagram on Sunday, showing him applying a red-colored piece around Cardi’s jawline.

“Today’s work Cardi B,” he captioned the video.

Though Cardi has yet to post the finished piece, fan page @queencardixo shared a photo of her sitting next to De Los Santos after the session.

It’s still unclear what the tattoo says, as the photo doesn’t provide a clear look.

The “Hot Shit” rapper has about a dozen tattoos, some of which are dedicated to past loves. She also got matching ink with her husband Offset, as well as a piece for her sister Hennessy.

Back in January, Cardi expressed her interest in getting her baby boy’s name tattooed on her face, perhaps drawing inspiration from Offset’s jawline tattoo in honor of their daughter Kulture.

“Random but….I’m 1% close too tatting my sons name on my face,” she tweeted. “I really really wanna do it!”

Cardi joins the long list of hip-hop stars who’ve hopped on the face-ink train. Drake recently took to Instagram to show off his new “S.G” tattoo under his left eye. The rapper captioned the photo “Sandra Gale 💖,” confirming it was a tribute to his mom.
