Gucci Partners With Health Tech Company ŌURA on New Smart Ring

The smart ring sees Gucci collaborating with the health tech company behind the original Oura Ring device, which offers various monitoring services.

Gucci has partnered with health tech company ŌURA on a new smart ring.

The Gucci x ŌURA ring comes equipped with the current Generation 3 technology, as well as an assortment of “advanced sensors” covering everything from heart rate to stress. Of particular note in terms of design is the presence of an interlocking G in 18 kt yellow gold.

Get a closer look at the collaborative smart ring below. The ring is now available to shop and is currently listed on the Gucci site at $950. In addition to its monitoring capabilities, the ring is further bolstered by the ŌURA app experience. ŌURA Health, founded back in 2013, is known for its creation of the original Oura Ring smart ring device, which made headlines in 2020 due to its use amid pandemic concerns.

Also on Gucci’s May agenda was the rollout of a new campaign for the 25H timepieces collection starring Idris Elba, who will soon be seen in George Miller’s massively anticipated Three Thousand Years of Longing.

Also drawing attention this month in the larger Gucci space was news of the luxury house further committing to its metaverse ambitions with the launch of Gucci Town on Roblox. The unique gathering locale is designed to encourage shared creativity among its visitors, all while interacting with “the codes” of Gucci.
