El Chapo's family is cashing in on the Mexican drug lord's notoriety. And his personal style?

The Daily News reports the kingpin has granted the rights to his name and signature to El Chapo Guzman: JGL LLC, a newly registered company ran by his wife, Emma Coronel Aispuro. The 29-year-old former pageant queen said the business will house a clothing line of El Chapo-branded gear that is expected to launch sometime this summer.

"This project is an idea Joaquin and I have had for a long time. Before he was in the USA we talked a lot about this topic," explained Aispuro, who has twin girls with El Chapo. "Really, it's both of our ideas [....] We'll talk a little about both of our ideas—that he has and a touch of mine, obviously. Our greatest inspiration is our daughters."

El Chapo is now awaiting sentencing after he was found guilty of drug trafficking, money laundering, and firearms possession. The 61-year-old—legal name Joaquín Archivaldo Guzmán Loera—is now behind bars in a Manhattan federal prison, where he reportedly signed off on the forthcoming fashion line. Aispuro said she will kick things off with a line of caps, which will be followed by ready-to-wear.

"I am very happy to be able to create something like this. I hope it'll be something everyone likes. I will give it my best effort to make it good for everyone and within everyone's reach," she said. "[...] During the process, as it evolves, I'll see where my ideas take me. A little bit of my style and his style—it will be like a mixture of the two, so that it really is our essence."

There have been a number of El Chapo-inspired clothing lines over the years, including his 38-year-old daughter's El Chapo 701 imprint; however, this brand will be the first to feature gear emblazoned with the drug lord's name.
