Next month’s Jake Paul-Tommy Fury fight got a lot more exciting, as Deron Williams has been added to the undercard.

D-Will might not be the only athlete making his professional boxing debut on December 18.  According to the Athletic’s Shams Charania, one of the NFL’s all-time leading rushers could be an opponent for the former NBA All-Star.

“Former All-Star and two-time Olympic Gold Medalist Deron Williams will fight on the Jake Paul/Tommy Fury undercard bout on Dec. 18,” Shams wrote. “Frank Gore — third on the NFL’s all-time rushing yards list — is a potential opponent for Williams.”

Williams isn’t the first NBA star to enter the ring in recent months. Last November, Nate Robinson made his boxing debut against Jake Paul, who knocked out the retired basketball player in the second round of their bout. Meanwhile, Lamar Odom last June knocked out Aaron Carter in the second round of their celebrity boxing match at the Showboat Hotel in Atlantic City.

Stay tuned as we find out more information regarding D-Will’s opponent.
