Antonio Brown made an appearance on the latest episode of the Full Send Podcast Friday to discuss his fallout with the Tampa Bay Bucaneers, who released the wide receiver on Thursday after he walked off the field in dramatic fashion last weekend.

When asked about his relationship with Tom Brady, who orchestrated AB’s signing with the Patriots in 2019 and subsequently with Tampa Bay last season, Brown shed light on their friendship.

“To me, a friend is someone who’s got your back,” he explained. “Not everybody in sports is going to be your friend. Tom Brady’s my friend. Why? Because I’m a good football player. He needs me to play football. People have different meanings of what friendship is.”

Brown went on to call out Brady for not helping him secure a better contract with the Bucs, comparing his salary to that of his former teammate Rob Gronkowski.

“If Tom Brady is my boy why am I playing for an earnest salary?” AB said. “You’re my boy though, right? Gronkowski is his boy, right? How much is he getting paid? So why is AB on a prove-it deal? Who’s better than me over there? Let’s be real.”

Brown went on to say that “Brady can’t do shit by himself.”

Brown’s remarks arrive just a day after Brady opened up about how the wide receiver had treated him in the aftermath of Sunday’s game.

“I think there’s a lot of personal, obviously, feelings,” Brady explained. “I don’t think this is really the week to discuss it though. You know, I’m just going to do the best I can do quarterbacking the team, try to put together a great week, finish strong. You just always deal with different things over the course of the season. That’s what we’re doing this week.”

Also during the chat, Brown said that he thought about mooning the crowd when he walked out mid-game.
