Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr believes the rest of the NBA in the 1990s should consider themselves lucky that Twitter wasn't around during Michael Jordan's playing days. Kerr toldESPN's Marc Stein on Friday that if the social media platform existed back in the day, Jordan and the Chicago Bulls "might have won more titles."
It's a known fact that Jordan has never been one to turn down a challenge, and as his own basketball camp would confirm, nothing brought MJ more joy than crushing another person's hopes, and dreams. Now, could you imagine for a second what it would have been like if Mike was playing when Twitter was around?
It wouldn't be all that bizarre to see Jordan favorite a tweet from a hater who said he would never hit for 50 points again, only to reply to that person immediately after he drops 50 in a game. It wouldn't be far-fetched for Jordan to retweet all the slander he receives, and just let the MJ stans have their way with those people.
Being the fierce competitor that he still is, Jordan is constantly looking for the tiniest bit of motivation, and he would've found plenty of it on Twitter. The rest of the league dodged a bullet.
