Josh Allen became misty-eyed while recalling the first time seeing his wife, actress Hailee Steinfeld, in blockbuster Sinners.

The Buffalo Bills quarterback was on the latest episode of long-running HBO sports docuseries Hard Knocks, where he emotionally reflected on seeing his wife in the Ryan Coogler-directed film. In the horror-thriller and vampire film, which has grossed over $365.5 million globally, Steinfeld played Mary, the romantic interest of Elias "Stack" Moore (Michael B. Jordan).

Allen gave the film an "A plus" review, saying it "combines a lot of different aspects of life." "My wife absolutely kills it, and hopefully [with] awards season coming around, people make the right decision," the NFL star added.

When host Kyle Brandt joked, “I left the movie theater and I thought, 'The NFL MVP is the second-most talented person in his own marriage,'" Allen couldn't help but agree.

"Absolutely not," Allen said, disagreeing that it was a "crazy hot take." "One thousand percent. And I'm OK with it," he said.

"When we watched it at the premiere, I was crying at the end," Allen confessed as his eyes welled. "I was so proud of her. I get emotional thinking about it. It was a pretty cool experience."

The Allens married in late May after dating since 2023 and both later posted Polaroids on Instagram from their big day and honeymoon. In June, Allen told reporters during an offseason press conference that despite his whopping $330 million NFL contract extension, marrying his "best friend" was his biggest achievement.

"She makes everything easier. I don't really focus on the other stuff, that was the most important decision I'll make in my life, and I made the right one," he said, per TMZ.
